Rosin Fine Wines and Spirits (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information collected through rosinfw.co.uk. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.

What we collect, and why
When you contact us. If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address and any other details you choose to put in your message. We use this only to reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, to fulfil an order or answer a question about stock. Submissions are stored in the website’s database and are also sent to us by email.
When you visit the site. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. These are generated automatically by the web server, are used to keep the site secure and working, and are not used to identify you.
Analytics, if you agree to it. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, how people arrive, and whether anything is broken. It is switched off until you accept analytics cookies, and you can change your mind at any time. Google Analytics collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser, and the pages you view. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Spam protection. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real enquiries from automated spam. It checks the browser making the request rather than tracking you, and Cloudflare does not use the information it collects for advertising or profiling. This check is necessary for the form to work.
We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not profile visitors or make automated decisions about them.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are always used: if you log in to the site as an administrator, WordPress sets cookies to keep you signed in. These do not require consent.
Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the site.
Spam protection. Cloudflare Turnstile may store a short-lived token in your browser while it checks the contact form submission. This is necessary for the form to function and is not used to track you.
International transfers
Google Analytics is provided by Google, and Turnstile by Cloudflare. Both may process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards those providers put in place for international transfers, such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the suppliers who help us run the site and our business, and only so far as they need it:
- Our web host, which stores the website and its database, and processes server logs.
- Our email provider, which carries enquiry emails to us.
- Google, for website analytics, as described above.
- Cloudflare, for contact-form spam protection, as described above.
These suppliers act on our instructions and are required to keep your information secure.
How long we keep it
Enquiries submitted through the contact form are deleted automatically once they are three years old, and entries caught as spam are deleted within 30 days. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host as part of normal security housekeeping. Analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention period set on our account.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information, where we have no continuing reason to keep it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- provide your information in a portable form

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We keep the website software updated and restrict administrative access to named accounts.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
